Minimum Required Qualification:
  • N2 Mathematics, N2 Engineering Science, N2 Plating Structural Steel Drawings, N2 Platers Trade Theory. OR NCV Level 4: Engineering & Related Design with the following Subjects: Mathematics (Min 40%), Physical Science (Min 40%), Engineering Graphics Design, Materials Technology, Engineering Practice & Maintenance, Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking)
The Appointee should:
  • N2 Mathematics, N2 Engineering Science, N2 Plating Structural Steel Drawings, N2 Platers Trade Theory. OR NCV Level 4: Engineering & Related Design with the following Subjects: Mathematics (Min 40%), Physical Science (Min 40%), Engineering Graphics Design, Materials Technology, Engineering Practice & Maintenance, Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking)
  • Medically fit to work in the specific business area
  • Clear security screening record.
  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
Additional Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in an engineering environment would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
  • Programme Objectives Demonstrates an understanding of the programme objectives and associated tasks. Complete all modules of the development programme within the specified timeframe. Escalate queries and concerns associated with the programme and completion thereof where required.
  • SHE Adhere to all legal and safety requirements. Conduct all work according to the required standard, specifications, and training. Attend SHE meetings as and when required. Ensure that the prescribed safety equipment is worn and/ or used. Recognize hazardous situations that have an impact on all jobs and participate in “on the job” risk assessment. Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting Compile developmental progress reports for progress discussion with the relevant stakeholder. Report all inconsistencies and obstacles. Report and communicate ideas and recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Relations Ensure effective team relationships and support. Build and maintain partnerships and relationships with all stakeholders within the business. Engage relevant stakeholders to gain the necessary business context. Support and promote a positive work environment.
  • People Adhere to all mining standards, procedures, and company policies. Assist and support team members in the completion of tasks. Ensure effective two-way communication between team members. Support and promote a positive work environment.
  • Building a values-based organizational culture Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organizational development plan. This support manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment.
  • ESG Compliance Align to international responsible mining principles. SA Gold Operations: Align to World Gold Council (WGC) Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs). SA PGM Operations: Enhance Together for Sustainability (eTfS) initiative. US PGM Operations: Enhance together for ICCM principles.
  • Focus on safe productions and operational excellence Focus on Health and Safety as well as operational excellence
