Position Purpose

The purpose of the Graduate Internship Programme is to work under supervision of a professionally qualified individual, in order to gain experience through a structured 24-month training programme. The programme seeks to place the graduate intern in specific areas within TNPA (Richards Bay) according to their academic background, career aspirations and business requirements.

Position Outputs

• Follow a structured training programme
• Undergo performance reviews and assessments
• Perform all duties as contained in their development programme, as well as which they may reasonably be required to perform by Transnet National Ports Authority

Qualifications and Experience

• Port Operations Department: National Diploma / Degree in Operations Management or Industrial Engineering or relevant • Commercial Service Department: National Diploma / Degree in Communications Studies or Public Relations • Port Operations Department: National Diploma / Degree in Enterprise Risk Management • SHERQ Department: National Diploma / Degree in Safety, Health & Environmental Studies • Finance Department: National Diploma / Degree in Financial Management & Accounting • Marine Department: National Diploma in Maritime Studies • • Legal Department: LLB Degree • People Management Department: National Diploma or Degree in HRM and Industrial Psychology or relevant • Supply Chain Management Department: National Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management • • Commercial Services Department: Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration • SHERQ Department: National Diploma in Fire Technology • Infrastructure Department: National Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying 18-35 years old • South African Citizen • People with Disabilities are encouraged to apply • No work experience within the field of study. Competencies

• Good written and communication skills. • Computer Skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office: Proficient in Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Attention to details • The ability to work well within a team; problem solving and pays attention to detail.
