Job Description

A boutique wholesale company is seeking an energetic and dedicated Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join their team for a fixed duration contract for approximately 5 months while their current Receptionist is on maternity leave. This individual will be the primary point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a warm and professional environment while also offering administrative support across all departments to ensure seamless business operations. This is a full-time role based in-office with working hours being 08h00 to 17h00 Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities: 

  • Answer, screen and direct incoming calls and emails appropriately
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean and organised at all times
  • Assist with administrative tasks – must be able to work in Excel
  • Monthly collation of fuel and credit card slips
  • Printing of creditor statements
  • Schedule appointments, meetings and conference rooms as needed
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Support various departments with administrative tasks as assigned
  • Ordering of stationery and groceries

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a receptionist / administrative assistant
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English (non-negotiable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
